SR SRE (Linux & Windows)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SR SRE (Linux & Windows) based in Brazil.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will help maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing production infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments.
You will combine hands-on systems expertise with monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, and incident response.
The role involves investigating complex infrastructure issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
You will work closely with distributed infrastructure, DevOps, development, and technical teams supporting a fintech project.
Strong scripting and operational skills will enable you to automate repetitive tasks and improve infrastructure efficiency.
This is a fully remote opportunity initially structured as a six-month engagement, with strong potential for extension and collaboration with teams in Canada.

Accountabilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Linux and Windows Server environments.

- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, and reliability.

- Investigate and resolve production incidents and infrastructure-related issues.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement measures to reduce recurring incidents.

- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using scripting and automation tools.

- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities when required.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, development, and other technical teams to maintain reliable production environments.

- Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting records.

- Contribute to continuous improvements in infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, and incident management.

Requirements:

- 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar technical role.

- Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Linux environments.

- Intermediate to advanced experience with Windows Server environments.

- Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting production infrastructure.

- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or a combination of these.

- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.

- Good understanding of networking and core infrastructure concepts.

- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed technical teams.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code or configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.

- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.

- Experience with Active Directory and Windows infrastructure administration is advantageous.

- Previous experience in fintech, financial services, or highly available production environments is a plus.
