Position Overview
The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison (SPL) will serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with specialty pharmacy (SP) partners ensuring smooth case pull through and an optimal patient experience for those served through the SP channel. The SPL will manage all follow up with SP partners and internal stakeholders, collaborating across teams to resolve issues, remove access barriers, and meet patient needs. The SPL will support SP data quality to track trends and proactively anticipate and address any challenges or access barriers.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent and effective communication to all appropriate stakeholders as the first line of support/single point of contact with contracted specialty pharmacies and internal patient access roles.

- Build strong partnerships with Specialty Pharmacy partners to improve patient access, elevate the patient experience, and find efficiencies in working together to streamline the patient journey.

- Prepare and publish weekly data tracking tools for internal stakeholders’ visibility into specialty pharmacy cases.

- Support SP data quality initiatives

- Conduct regularly scheduled calls with specialty pharmacy partners to address escalated or stalled patient cases. Track issues through resolution.

- Support copay card program escalations and claims resolution.

- Consistently evaluate and innovate around processes related to working relationships with specialty pharmacies.

- Demonstrate and maintain an understanding of HUB Business rules, patient journey and HUB communication documents for patients and HCPs.

- Effectively identify and share new trends or other knowledge that could negatively impact BESREMi access with the Patient Access leadership team.

- Establish and maintain professional and effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to HUB, specialty pharmacies and market access colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree

- Direct experience working for, or with specialty pharmacies.

- High level of proficiency using data and analytics tools and platforms.

- Minimum 3 years of specialty pharmacy, case management, patient access, or HUB vendor relationship management experience.

- Strong background in insurance, reimbursement, and payer landscape as it relates to specialty pharmacies, PBMs, and pharmacy benefit design.

- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business, customer, and patient needs/requirements.

- Willingness to travel up to ~10% domestically.
