About our Team

The engineering team develops and supports a portfolio of web and API-based fraud prevention products that process millions of transactions with low-latency, real-time risk scoring and rules-based decisioning. The team also develops and maintains customer and operational tools for transaction management, fraud feedback, and platform administration while generating behavioral intelligence and risk insights at scale. Supporting both real-time and batch processing workloads, the team continuously works on enhancing fraud detection capabilities through configurable, data-driven rules and scoring models that enable rapid innovation and business agility.
About the Role

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert while leading a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of complex applications and systems. You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management responsibilities, helping to drive engineering excellence, mentor developers, and deliver business-critical solutions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities

- Serve as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility.

- Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

- Complete complex bug fixes.

- Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

- Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.

- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, CI/CD etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.

- Resolve complex technical issues as necessary.

- Mentor and/or train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.

- Keep abreast of new technology developments.

- Design and work with complex data models.

- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

- Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible.

- Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.

- Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.

Requirements

- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience and 2+ years of software engineering lead experience

- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DORA).

- Strong experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.

- Strong knowledge in industry best practices in external resource development.

- Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
