Senior System Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior System Engineer based in United States.
This is a mission-critical systems engineering role supporting military health IT systems and enterprise network infrastructure within a global operational environment.
You will translate mission needs into clear technical requirements, implementation plans, and verification criteria.
The role combines systems engineering, integration, interoperability assessment, and operational readiness activities.
You will also contribute to OCONUS mobilization, site readiness, technical deployments, and theater-level coordination.
Success requires strong collaboration across engineering, operational, cybersecurity, and deployment stakeholders.
This position is designed for an experienced engineer who can operate independently in high-stakes environments and maintain continuity across mission requirements.
As Government-designated Key Personnel, you will be expected to demonstrate technical and OCONUS readiness from the start of the assignment.
Accountabilities

Analyze operational and mission requirements and translate them into detailed technical requirements, implementation plans, and verification criteria.

Engineer and integrate military health IT capabilities across enterprise network nodes, ensuring systems meet operational and technical objectives.

Assess system dependencies, interoperability, capacity, performance, and overall operational readiness.

Support OCONUS theater mobilization, site readiness, technical deployment, and related operational activities.

Resolve complex systems engineering and integration issues while maintaining requirements traceability and accurate engineering documentation.

Coordinate effectively with engineering, operational, cybersecurity, and other mission stakeholders to support successful system implementation.

Manage personnel deployment activities and support the administrative requirements associated with overseas assignments.

Navigate the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) and coordinate host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility.

Maintain the technical and operational readiness required for a Government-designated Key Personnel position.
Requirements

Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience aligned with Microsoft engineering/architecture and cybersecurity or information assurance requirements.

Hands-on experience supporting military health IT systems and enterprise network nodes.

Demonstrated experience supporting OCONUS theater mobilization, deployment, and operational readiness activities.

Experience developing technical requirements, implementation plans, verification criteria, and maintaining requirements traceability.

Proven ability to coordinate complex technical activities across engineering and operational stakeholders.

Experience managing personnel deployments and working with SPOT, host-nation theater clearance, and DOCPER processes across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility.

Active Secret security clearance and a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance.

Assigned DCWF role aligned with 641, Systems Requirements Planner, Intermediate.

Microsoft Engineer/Architect certification plus one of the following or an equivalent credential: CCSP, CFR, FITSP-M, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP.

Ability to satisfy applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualification requirements before independently performing duties involving privileged access or covered cybersecurity functions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to work independently, maintain attention to detail, and perform effectively in mission-critical and geographically dispersed environments.
