Overview of the role

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Senior Project Manager to support one of our key local government partners to deliver across the Infrastructure element of a transformation programme. 

What will you be doing? 

- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring successful outcomes for customers and stakeholders. 

- Manage major technology transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, Windows 11 deployment, network infrastructure upgrades, data centre transformation, SharePoint migration and secure remote access solutions. 

- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success measures, ensuring projects are aligned to organisational priorities. 

- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, managing resources, risks, dependencies, budgets and timescales throughout the project lifecycle. 

- Build strong relationships with customers, sponsors, suppliers and technical teams to ensure effective project delivery. 

- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, leading the resolution of complex challenges and barriers. 

- Support the procurement and implementation of new and replacement ICT systems, working closely with procurement, legal and service management teams. 

- Lead business change activities, supporting teams through the transition from current to future ways of working and ensuring benefits are realised. 

- Research emerging technologies, industry best practice and innovative solutions to inform project delivery and continuous improvement. 

- Produce high-quality reports, presentations and project documentation, ensuring lessons learned and key insights are captured and shared.
