Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in United States.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape experiences across a two-sided housing marketplace focused on improving access to affordable housing. You will tackle complex product challenges affecting both members and hosts, turning intricate workflows into simple, intuitive experiences. Working within a growth-oriented product team, you will influence product strategy while owning design from discovery through launch and iteration. You will combine user research, experimentation, data, and strong product intuition to create measurable customer and business impact. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with product, engineering, marketing, operations, data, and AI teams. You will also help explore AI-powered experiences while maintaining a high bar for usability, accessibility, and visual quality.

Accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end product design process, from problem definition and research through prototyping, launch, and continuous iteration.

- Simplify complex workflows, marketplace dynamics, rules, and edge cases into clear and approachable user experiences.

- Conduct user research and engage directly with members and hosts to identify needs, pain points, and opportunities.

- Partner with product managers to shape product strategy, prioritize opportunities, and connect customer needs with measurable business outcomes.

- Use customer feedback, qualitative and quantitative data, prototypes, and experiments to validate assumptions and improve experiences.

- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, operations, data, ML, and AI teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

- Create polished, responsive interfaces in Figma using reusable components, thoughtful interaction patterns, and established design-system principles.

- Prototype and design AI-powered features and intelligent workflows in partnership with technical teams.

Requirements:

- 4+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products, ideally within marketplace environments or products with complex acquisition funnels.

- Strong UX and user-research skills, with the ability to engage directly with users and translate insights into effective product solutions.

- Strong product and business judgment, including the ability to connect design decisions with metrics, revenue, and relevant business considerations such as rent, ROI, and occupancy.

- Experience designing multi-step workflows, complex service experiences, and products with numerous edge cases.

- Advanced proficiency in Figma and interaction design across web and mobile, with strong systems thinking and an understanding of reusable components.

- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative insights.

- Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered features and using modern AI tools as part of the design process.
