Senior Producer
Join the Rest Revolution
The world is wired and tired. It's plagued by screens, notifications, and the sense that you should always be doing ... something. But hey, you're reading this job application right now, so you probably know exactly what we're talking about.
So here's a bit of good news amidst all the noise: Hatch is a sleep wellness company that's betting on rest in a culture obsessed with optimization. While most technology is designed to keep you engaged, our devices use the science of habit formation to help people unplug, unwind, and recharge. Through genuinely enjoyable routines, habit building, and gentle guidance (no sleep scores or wearables here), we help people build healthier sleep habits and feel the difference in everyday life.
Ten years ago, we started with a mission to help parents navigate the complexities of newborn sleep. Today, we're helping more than 5 million people (and counting) take care of themselves and the people they love through the power of rest.
We’re open to candidates across the U.S. and Canada. However, please note that Hatch is based in California, so we just ask that you're available during PST/PDT hours.
The Opportunity
Hatch is seeking a creative, versatile Senior Producer to lead the production of premium audio experiences across our content portfolio - from meditations and sleep music to bedtime podcasts, audiobooks, and ASMR.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can move fluidly between disciplines. You might write or edit a meditation script, cast and direct a narrator, give a musician notes on a sound bath, assemble a rough cut in Pro Tools, or lead a project from early concept through launch.
You have exceptional instincts for pacing, tone, story, talent, and sound - and the ear to know when something is (or isn’t) working and why. You bring a strong creative point of view, but you’re equally comfortable collaborating, experimenting, and adapting your approach to the needs of a project.
This role will report to the Director of Audio Production.
What You’ll Do
- Lead audio projects from concept through launch, owning the creative vision, production plan, and final execution.
- Write, edit, and shape scripts across storytelling, mindfulness, and other audio formats, ensuring a strong, cohesive voice aligned with Hatch ’s brand identity.
- Source, cast, onboard and direct narrators, hosts, practitioners, musicians and other creative talent.
- Develop pilots, test new formats, and evolve existing franchises across the Hatch content library.
- Build strong relationships with talent and create an environment where they can do their best work.
- Build and manage production schedules in Airtable, keeping projects moving without sacrificing creative quality.
- Work with Director of Production to resource projects effectively across internal and external teams.
- Collaborate early and often with Strategy, Development, Marketing, Design, and other cross-functional partners.
- Direct recording sessions and talent, and jump into Pro Tools to edit, assemble, score, or lightly sound design work when needed.
- Partner closely with sound designers, engineers, composers, and musicians to shape music and sound design.
- Anticipate what a project needs beyond the audio itself, from the metadata to the marketing assets to artwork and launch deliverables, and make sure the right people have the right context at the right time.
- Assemble rough cuts, give clear and actionable creative feedback, and ensure final audio meets Hatch ’s quality bar.
- Perform final quality control (QC) checks on all audio for platform and device playback.
- Maintain a high and consistent creative bar across the Hatch content library while helping evolve what Hatch audio can sound and feel like.
