Senior Engineer (R-20002)

Key Responsibilities

Develop scalable, distributed software systems and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity and the ability to ask the right questions. Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications. Work closely with other teams across a wide breadth of applications and solutions. Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures; and pursue professional growth. Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews. Identify, plan and ensure successful incremental execution of application modernization, re-platform and refactoring efforts.

Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement to a technology solution whether it’s optimizing the performance of the system or identifying tech debt. Partner with SRE team to deploy and manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS. Demonstrate strong customer focus and end-to-end ownership of applications, including participation in incident response activities and post-incident reviews when customer-impacting issues occur. Proactively improve quality through collaboration, automation, process improvement and innovative thinking. Leverage AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, development velocity, and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. 8+ years of experience managing and deploying commercial software products. Advanced Linux knowledge. Strong understanding of triaging data & performance issues and how to resolve them while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency. Independent thinker able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proven excellence with Java and/or Scala, Python, Spark/PySpark and scripting languages. Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in parallel. Proven experience managing solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available. Proven experience working on large-scale, distributed systems. Demonstrated growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. Demonstrated experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to improve software development, troubleshooting, automation, and engineering productivity. SDLC-tooling experience with Maven, Github, Jenkins, Terraform.
