Job Description

Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:

-
Set the multi-year vision for our interoperability . Own where interoperability is headed at Devoted, and turn that vision into measurable gains in clinical quality, operational efficiency, and the reliability of the data we depend on.

-
Deliver Devoted's interoperability compliance . Define what strong compliance looks like across a complex, shifting regulatory landscape and make sure Devoted stays ahead of it. Today that headlines with the CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization Final Rule (CMS-0057-F) but the mandate is the broader picture and whatever comes next, not any single rule.

-
Build the organization behind data exchange . Lead and grow the data exchange operational teams within our tech org that make interoperability real — clinical data acquisition, integration operations, and telephony — into an organization that executes at scale.

-
Get a sprawling landscape moving in one direction . Interoperability touches Clinical, Operations, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Compliance; you'll create alignment across all of them and clear the systemic blockers that slow data exchange.

-
Shape a deliberate vendor strategy . Build and steward our most important vendor partnerships — a multi-million-dollar portfolio — into a coherent strategy that strengthens capabilities, reduces integration risk, and serves Devoted's long-term interests.

-
Advance Devoted's interests in the outside world . Shape the relationships — and, where possible, the policy — with provider and regulatory partners that determine what data we're able to exchange and on what terms.

-
Be the authority leadership relies on . Translate a fast-moving, complex interoperability landscape into clear decisions for senior leadership.

Required skills and experience:

-
You've led at scale : 10+ years of relevant experience, including a track record of leading other leaders. You've built and scaled multi-function organizations and have recruited, coached, and mentored talent while setting a positive, high-accountability culture.

-
You know interoperability cold : A genuine command of the healthcare data exchange landscape — standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, C-CDA), the regulatory environment (e.g., CMS Interoperability rules, ASTP/ONC, TEFCA, information blocking), health information exchange, and EHR and clinical/claims/pharmacy data integration.

-
You know how to deliver on regulation and compliance : You've hit major milestones that satisfy both regulatory requirements and business outcomes — ideally on FHIR/API-based initiatives such as the CMS interoperability rules — and you understand what it takes to succeed, coordinating technical and operational work across many teams to get there.

-
You've aligned the room : You've repeatedly brought many stakeholder groups to agreement on a single plan — listening, synthesizing competing input, and communicating a decision back to teams, leadership, and eventually an entire company.

-
You've been at the negotiating table : You've owned and negotiated multi-million-dollar vendor relationships, and you can read a vendor landscape and form a defensible point of view.

-
You've represented the org externally : You've been the credible voice for an organization's position with external partners — providers, regulators, industry forums.

-
You've owned the roadmap and the details : You've built multi-year strategic roadmaps and driven them to measurable business and operational outcomes without losing the thread on execution.

-
You bring a data-driven mindset, a super proactive "get it done" attitude with the skills to back it up, and the mental agility to stay sharp, re-prioritize quickly, and thrive amid the uncertainty, fast pace, and flexibility inherent in a startup.

Desired skills and experience:

-
Provider, Payor or EHR experience : Working experience in a care delivery or health insurance environment, par
