Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our partner’s team and support the development and operation of a modern GCP-based data platform . You’ll work closely with DevOps, application, and data engineering teams to build scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain highly available and cost-efficient cloud data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes .

- Work extensively with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL .

- Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.

- Manage networking and deployment configurations for GCP data platform components.

- Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for data services, focusing on quality, security, and efficiency.

- Establish monitoring and observability across data pipelines and infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot complex data infrastructure and production issues and proactively identify potential risks.

- Implement cloud security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and threat modeling.

- Collaborate with application and data engineering teams to establish and improve operational standards.

- Support ongoing GCP migration initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role with significant hands-on GCP experience.

- Strong commercial experience building and operating data infrastructure on GCP .

- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL .

- Advanced experience with Terraform , including infrastructure for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.

- Strong understanding of GCP networking , including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, and private connectivity.

- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale GCP solutions .

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design robust and reliable technical solutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- English: B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to Have

- GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Data Engineer .

- Experience with GCP migration projects .

- Experience working with modern data platforms and data engineering teams.

- Knowledge of dbt, Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer, or Dataproc .

- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

- Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS .
