Senior Analyst, General Ledger

As a Senior Analyst, General Ledger, you will help maintain the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records across key accounting activities.
You will manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, financial analysis, and audit support.
The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and support timely resolution.
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver critical financial information and maintain thorough supporting documentation.
You will also help ensure that accounting activities follow internal controls, GAAP, and established corporate policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash transactions and help safeguard organizational assets.

- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, reviewing supporting documentation, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring account accuracy.

- Generate financial reports and conduct account analyses to identify and correct mis-recordings before financial statements are finalized.

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver critical financial reporting and accounting requirements while maintaining a complete audit trail of supporting documentation.

- Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including asset recognition, depreciation, transfers, retirements, and write-offs.

- Ensure accounting activities comply with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and applicable corporate policies and procedures.

- Follow established standard operating procedures when making accounting decisions and completing recurring processes.

- Take ownership of assigned work, ensuring financial reconciliations and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

- Analyze financial transactions, investigate discrepancies, and recommend appropriate solutions when issues are identified.

- Support audit-related activities by maintaining accurate records and providing relevant supporting documentation as required.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or another related accounting field.

- At least 5 years of professional experience in general accounting, with significant experience in General Ledger functions.

- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and audit support.

- Strong knowledge of internal controls, GAAP, and accounting policies and procedures.

- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, particularly Oracle and SAP.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate financial discrepancies, assess supporting information, and identify appropriate resolutions.

- Excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounting activities and deadlines.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams and financial partners.
