Join BCD Group as a Senior Accountant, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across assigned entities.
This position is responsible for managing General Ledger accounting activities, month-end close activities and maintaining accurate financial records for balance sheet integrity and supporting timely and reliable financial reporting for assigned entities. Working within a global finance environment, you will collaborate closely with regional Finance teams and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient month-end and year-end close processes, strong financial governance, and compliance with accounting standards.
You will also contribute to maintaining a robust internal control environment while supporting standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
As a Senior Accountant, you will
- Preparing and posting general ledger journals in accordance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of general ledger balances for assigned entities.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities in line with global reporting deadlines.
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments.
- Reviewing and reconciling intercompany transactions and balances.
- Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies and unusual ledger movements.
- Collaborating effectively with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, and Operational Finance teams.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Coordinating with auditors and other external stakeholders and supporting audit requirements through the provision of documentation and analysis.
- Demonstrating hands-on experience with Indian accounting requirements, including GST, TDS, and FLA filings.
- Utilizing SAP S/4HANA, particularly the FI/CO modules, to support accounting and reporting activities.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and effectively operating within evolving or unstructured environments to streamline workflows.
- Applying strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communicating confidently and effectively with global stakeholders across functions.
Key responsibility:
- Execute General Ledger accounting activities, including journal processing, ledger maintenance, account analysis, and financial data validation.
- Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close activities in line with global reporting timelines.
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular review and reconciliation of accounts.
- Support statutory and management reporting requirements.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve open balance sheet items in a timely manner.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes across multiple entities.
- Collaborate with Shared Services teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and accounting practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA Inter preferred).
- Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
- Experience working within multinational organizations or Shared Services environments.
- Experience with ERP financial systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience within service-based, travel, or events industries would be an advantage.
