Senior Accountant

We provide nationwide onsite IT field services across the United States, supporting MSPs and businesses with multiple locations. Our accounting connects customer invoices, service tickets and subcontractor costs.

We’re looking for a hands-on accountant to manage daily accounting, own month-end and quarter-end close, and catch up several years of missing entries while keeping current records accurate.

Schedule

8 a.m.–5 p.m. U.S. Central Time, following Chicago daylight saving time. Philippine hours are 9 p.m.–6 a.m. during CDT and 10 p.m.–7 a.m. during CST.

Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing follow-up and payment batches for approval.

- Reconcile subcontractor/vendor bills, payments and credits against service tickets, customer invoices and supporting records.

- Maintain QuickBooks Online and complete bank and credit-card reconciliations.

- Own month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, P&L, balance-sheet and AP/AR aging reports.

- Catch up several years of missing accounting entries, including historical AP and technician costs, without duplicating existing transactions.

- Maintain job-level cost and margin reporting.

- Validate spreadsheet data and bulk imports, reconcile totals and prevent duplicate entries or payments.

- Prepare payroll summaries and year-end/1099 supporting information for our tax professionals.

- Use approved AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, verify their output against source records and protect confidential information.

- Document procedures, unresolved discrepancies and approval checkpoints.

Requirements

- Accounting experience with U.S. subcontractor-heavy businesses, such as field services, construction, trades or project-based services.

- Strong QuickBooks Online, BILL and Excel/Google Sheets skills.

- Proven experience with historical bookkeeping cleanup, month-end and quarter-end close, job costing and vendor reconciliation.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted accounting tools and sound judgment about accuracy, review and data privacy.

- Clear written English, reliable follow-through and a dependable setup for the overnight Philippine shift.

- Available to start immediately.
