Quality Control Coordinator - Remote
LBF is seeking a qualified candidate to conduct ongoing Quality Control responsibilities on a reverse mortgage (HECM and Proprietary) and HELOC pipeline to ensure adherence with HUD and investor guidelines, and federal, state and regulatory requirements. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the QC process for pre and post-closing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the post-closing QC process for loan selection, delivery of files for review, tracking service level agreements, informing appropriate parties of any findings, and mitigation of findings with QC provider.
- Identifying loans that require FHA Self-report.
- Identify compliance risks or concerns and report up to Management.
- Analyze results to determine trends and work with Operations Management on solutions for process enhancements where systematic errors are discovered.
- Summarize and log audit findings for pre- and post-closing and create monthly reports.
- Communicate audit findings and remediation to management.
- All other compliance-related assignments as required for agency/regulatory compliance.
- Manage the administration of external programs and vendors used to complete quality control tasks.
- Communicate all alerts (credit policy, state regulatory, compliance, and Operations process) and underwriting guidelines updates to QC vendor.
Additional Responsibilities
- Select loans for pre-funding QC audits of loans which have final underwriting approval, but not yet closed. Manage the process including: delivery of files for review; tracking of service level agreements; informing appropriate parties of any findings; mitigation of findings with QC provider; issuing to Operations a clearance to close.
- Provide support to operations to address any pattern of deficiencies discovered during QC.
- Various other related duties assigned.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in quality control, underwriting or equivalent. FHA/Reverse mortgage experience is must.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance as it relates to mortgage lending: TILA, RESPA, Reg B, Reg C, etc.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and use problem-solving skills. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
- Work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with all customers (internal and external).
- Detail oriented and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

- Target base salary range is 52-57K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. This position is bonus eligible
