Position Overview:

The Investor Suspense Team Lead is involved in daily production and leads a team of Post Closers with day-to-day operations. The Investor Suspense Team Lead addresses the resolution of conditions during purchase review for various investors. The Investor Suspense Team Lead handles loan level escalations and general questions from the Post Closing Team members to ensure the conditions and exceptions are resolved in a timely manner. The Investor Team Lead monitors multiple reports and investor portals to ensure loans are being followed up on, accurate notes are being entered within the loan file, and proper communication is occurring with investors and internal departments.
Job Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Post Closing Team.

Serve as the first level escalation point for the Post Closing Team for general questions, additional file reviews and assist with loan level decisions.

Review and balance the team’s loan assignments and task load.

Provide employee development and performance coaching in one-on-one meetings.

Assist with onboarding and training new hires and existing employees to be upskilled on a variety of topics as needed.

Monitor team performance metrics and report to management on documentation accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the Post Closing Team.

Review production and processes to identify trends that will be relayed to the Investor Suspense Manager.

Pull daily investor reporting to identify loans that have been suspended for purchase and load balance files as needed within the team.

Assist with the Post Closing Team tasks and responsibilities, as necessary.

Review and obtain clarification from investors when needed to determine what is acceptable to cure applicable defects.

Monitor daily condition reports from the investor for updates on suspended loans or new conditions as received.

Monitor time of loans on the warehouse lines and advise Investor Suspense Manager of those at potential risk for curtailment from the warehouse.

Monitor a pipeline to ensure all loans shipped are either conditioned or purchased in a timely manner.

Provide updates on the status of assigned loans with investors to the Post Closing Management Team.

Ensure investor guidelines are followed and avoid incurring suspense fees.

Review and approve team check requests as applicable.

Ensure Post Closing Team meets set monthly purchased loan goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

-
4+ years’ experience in a Post Closing role.

2+ years’ experience in a Team Lead or Senior Post Closing role.

Experience working in Encompass, preferred.

-
Extensive knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations.

Thorough knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and overlays.
