Part-Time Government Proposal Writer & Opportunity Research Assistant
About the Role
We are a U.S.-based government contracting and business solutions firm specializing in facilities services, janitorial services, floor care, specialty cleaning, and project management.
We are seeking a detail-oriented writer to research within our platform suitable contract opportunities and prepare accurate, tailored proposal drafts. You will receive training in our Command Framework, a structured process supported by templates, approved company materials, and AI tools.
This is a limited-hours, part-time role. It is not a full-time position yet.
Responsibilities
Research federal, state, and local government opportunities aligned with our capabilities and pursuit criteria.
Record official opportunity links, solicitation numbers, deadlines, locations, eligibility requirements, and site-visit requirements.
Review solicitations and amendments to identify submission instructions, evaluation criteria, required forms, and missing information.
Use our Command Framework to draft technical approaches, quality control plans, management plans, and corporate experience sections.
Tailor approved company content to each solicitation.
Format documents in Microsoft Word and maintain organized proposal files.
Verify AI-assisted content against source documents and flag unsupported statements.
Maintain an opportunity and proposal deadline tracker.
Expected Workload
Our initial target is four straightforward proposal draft packages per month, plus a weekly shortlist of qualified opportunities. Training time, research time, proposal complexity, and agreed hours will determine the final workload.
After training, the target may increase from four to six standard drafts per month by mutual agreement. Complex proposals will be scoped separately.
Management provides final pricing, staffing decisions, certifications, signatures, and submission approval. You will not submit bids or make commitments on behalf of the company.
Qualifications
Strong written English, research skills, and attention to detail.
Experience preparing proposals, RFP responses, RFQs, or technical business documents.
U.S. government contracting experience strongly preferred.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and distinguish requirements from assumptions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF documents, and online research.
Experience using ChatGPT or similar tools while independently checking accuracy.
Reliable internet and consistent communication.
Experience with janitorial, facilities management, construction, or service-contract proposals is a plus.
Confidentiality
You must protect company and client information, sign a confidentiality agreement, and use only approved systems and tools for proprietary materials. Submitted work must not contain another client’s confidential information.
