Michigan Part-Time Telehealth Psychiatrist – Juvenile Detention

MindCare Solutions is a clinician-owned and operated organization and a leader in comprehensive mental health services across a variety of settings. We are seeking a psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and direction for mental health services within a juvenile detention facility.

Compensation: up to $190/hr

Location : telehealth - Michigan licensed

Schedule: P/T - Two 8 hour days (16 hours per week)

Position Summary:

- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to youth in a juvenile detention setting.

- Conduct clinical assessments, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planning.

- Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness.

- Provide crisis intervention and respond to acute psychiatric needs.

- Collaborate with mental health professionals, medical staff, and facility personnel to ensure coordinated care.

- Communicate effectively with youth and their families regarding treatment, progress, and ongoing care needs.

- Maintain appropriate and professional family interactions while supporting continuity of care.

- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and age-appropriate behavioral health services.

- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, and standards of care.

Qualifications:

- Psychiatrist - Corrections is required to have an active and unrestricted license in the state of Michigan

- Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry

- Psychiatrist with active Michigan DEA required

- Child and adolescent psychiatric experience is required. Board certification or a subspecialty license in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is not required.

- Have excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling

- This position requires sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence
