The DevOps Engineering Manager leads the technical strategy and execution of Bluebeam’s DevOps and cloud platforms, enabling the delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud native applications. This role collaborates deeply with engineering, product, QA, architecture, and security teams to design and operate automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service developer platforms. The manager mentors DevOps engineers, drives continuous improvement of existing systems, and ensures DevOps practices measurably improve reliability, performance, and delivery speed across the SDLC.
About the Role:

- Lead and drive DevOps strategy and execution by establishing standards, tooling, and best practices for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation across the engineering organization.

- Manage, mentor, and develop a high performing DevOps engineering team,including offshore resources, through technical guidance, career development, performance management, and hands-on coaching.

- Design, implement, and operate scalable, highly available, and secure cloud platforms using infrastructure as code, container orchestration, serverless technologies, and managed cloud services.

- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and release automation, ensuring reliable, repeatable, and secure software delivery that improves deployment frequency, quality, and lead time.

- Act as a change agent for DevOps culture, collaborating closely with software engineering, QA, product, architecture, and security teams to improve developer experience, system reliability, and delivery velocity.

- Enable developer self-service and autonomy by building and maintaining automation frameworks, internal tools, and standardized workflows that reduce cognitive load and manual toil.

- Partner with security and architecture teams to embed security and compliance controls into infrastructure and pipelines, including secrets management, access control, system hardening, and auditability.

- Drive operational excellence and reliability by implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices, and by leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

- Evaluate and influence technology decisions, including tool selection, architecture standards, cloud services, and build vs. buy tradeoffs, balancing cost, scalability, reliability, and time to value.

- Plan and lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives, managing scope, dependencies, risks, and timelines while communicating clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

About You:

- Strong experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, including services such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.

- Hands on expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

- Proven experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms (Docker, Amazon EKS preferred).

- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Software development experience building production grade tools, services, or automation using Python, Go, and/or JavaScript, with solid understanding of code quality, testing, and version control.

- Proficiency with automation and scripting to eliminate manual toil and improve system reliability.

- Experience applying SRE and reliability engineering practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident reviews.

- Strong background in observability using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Opensearch, Splunk, New Relic, or Datadog.

- Working knowledge of cloud and DevOps security best practices, including IAM, secrets managemen
