micro1 is engaging Linguistics Specialists to contribute expertise to a customer project focused on language model evaluation. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required โ your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Carefully review and analyze conversations between humans and large language models (LLMs) for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Examine and assess responses generated by LLMs against well-defined instruction-following guidelines.
- Provide detailed, constructive written and verbal feedback regarding model output quality.
- Identify subtle errors and inconsistencies in grammar, usage, and context, ensuring linguistic precision.
- Deliver succinct, actionable feedback with meticulous attention to detail, focusing on accuracy rather than creativity.
- Document findings and recommendations in clear, organized reports to support ongoing model improvements.
- Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify guidelines and address ambiguities in tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native proficiency in U.S. English (required for this engagement).
- Advanced academic background or extensive professional experience in linguistics, language analysis, or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in written communication, with the ability to deliver nuanced linguistic assessments.
- Strong generalist skills as a writer and linguistic specialist, with exceptional attention to language detail.
- Ability to provide both written and verbal insights clearly and professionally in English.
- Availability to begin contributing immediately upon selection.
- Experience with guideline or rubric-based evaluation preferred, though not required.
