Job Description Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for expert support and service delivery for regional payroll and time & attendance programs. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning and implementing of multiple large scale transition efforts. Viewed as a regional payroll expert you will have a strategic role leading the compliance, productivity and efficiency of payroll and time & attendance systems. Organizes knowledge sharing to convey information about new approaches and best practices. Essential Responsibilities:
- Leads Regional Service Delivery teams who are responsible for the quality delivery of multiple payroll processes, time & attendance, and related services for a region. Define immediate and future support needs, service models and operational frameworks. Manages payroll queries from employees, managers and HRM's in a timely, and professional manner. Correctly administers payroll processes. Manages service delivery metrics in relation to outsourced payroll.
- Oversees the management, documentation and communication of regional payroll programs, policies, and procedures.
- Manage the payroll process including the calculation of wages, deductions, and payment of employees’ wages
- Ensures appropriate definition of payroll schedules, reconciliations, special processing planning and documentation of business and local requirements.
- Monitor regional government regulations and changes in labor law which may affect payroll processes
- Manage regional employee records such as tax documents and employee files
- Oversee and review preparation of reconciliations and reports
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college + Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a large payroll function.
Desired Characteristics:
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise with payroll systems; Workday payroll experience strongly preferred
- Experience with time and attendance systems, ideally in manufacturing environments
- Established project management skills; ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills; articulate and adaptable, with excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills
- Experience in providing independent technical guidance and counsel to HR stakeholders at various level of experience and hierarchy in the organization.
- Strong consultative skills; ability to adapt advisory style and tailor final products to target audiences. Ability to influence, advise and guide others through options and points of view.
- Ability to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
- Demonstrated skill in judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems
- Ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and develop others through coaching and mentoring
- Ability to work independently by leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others and operating within a defined budget.

The base pay range for this position is $136,000 - $226,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
