Business Development Intern (Part-Time)
Who We Are:

Serving millions of citizens throughout the U.S., we ensure you have safe water to drink and reliable power at your home. Daupler helps the professionals that run the services our society relies on provide a better, faster, more reliable operation. Whether it’s responding to a burst water main, identifying contaminated drinking water, or keeping customers up to date on the restoration of power, Daupler is the infrastructure for customer service excellence. It’s a utility within a utility. Backed by some of the best investors in the country, the company is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for dedicated, mission-driven people to help us bring American infrastructure, and government, into the 21st century.
Here’s what our customers say about us:

“Best thing since sliced butter. Reduced our call outs by 75% and helps us respond faster to emergencies.” — Assistant Director, City of Oakland, CA
“Didn’t realize how much I needed this. [ Daupler ] makes my work so much easier… really helps our district better serve our customers.” — Manager, Mountain Water & Sanitation, CO
“Mind-blowing this didn’t exist before. Literally replaces the work of 4 people… critical to our operations, we use it 24-hours a day.” — Manager, Johnson County Wastewater, KS
About the Role:

This is a paid, part-time internship built for current college students who want real, hands-on experience in B2B sales and business development. Working alongside our Business Development team, you’ll learn how we find and connect with the utilities we serve, and you’ll play a direct part in securing that all-important first meeting. You’ll develop the communication, research, and relationship skills that set you up for a career in business development or any customer-facing role — with coaching and support every step of the way.
What You’ll Do:

- Learn about our prospective customers and the challenges they face

- Conduct guided outreach to spark interest

- Schedule qualified meetings and demos for our Account Executives and leadership

- Learn to communicate our value in terms that matter to the customer

- Keep clear, accurate records of your activities and outcomes in our CRM

- Participate in regular educational coaching sessions

- Gain cross-functional exposure by learning how teams across Daupler work together

About You:

- Grit: You have a drive to meet your goals and don’t mind when the going gets tough.

- Curiosity: You want to learn about new industries, understand customer pain points, and help solve them.

- Impact: You take on challenges big and small because you want to add value today.

- Empathy: You keep the customer, not your own agenda, at the center of your actions.

- Openness: You’re humble, know your strengths and weaknesses, and take feedback well.

- One Team: You communicate clearly with teammates and care more about the win than the credit.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree (2027 graduation date a plus not a must)

- Available part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work around your class schedule

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Coachable, curious, and eager to learn

- Attention to detail, and attention to data

- Comfortable with outreach and not discouraged by a “no”

- Technical aptitude to learn our sales tools

Why Intern at Daupler :

- Flexible scheduling built around your classes

- Real, resume-building sales experience and skills that transfer to any career

- One-on-one coaching and cross-functional learning across the company

- A casual, mission-driven environment with mentorship from our BD team

- A potential springboard to a full-time BDR role after graduation
