Overview Flexible Worker Contract Location: Remote (travel may be required) About the role We’re seeking Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs) to join our End Point Assessment team to deliver the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner and Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager standard. If you have a background in children’s homes, supporting looked-after children, or working as a Residential Support Worker, Senior Residential Support Worker, or Registered Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your sector expertise to support apprentices in demonstrating their skills. You’ll play a vital role in assessing competence in key areas such as safeguarding, child development, trauma-informed practice, behaviour support, and multi-agency working—all central to high-quality residential childcare practice. Added to this, you’ll be working at the forefront of End Point Assessment, as NCFE work with Independent Training Providers, Further Education Colleges, and Employment Providers to drive valuable partnerships across the developing world of Apprenticeships and EPA. How you’ll make an impact: - Delivering EPA in line with the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner and Children, Young People and Families Manager standard (residential childcare) - Utilising NCFE Apprenticeship Services EPA platform to record EPAs and interact with apprentices - Attending standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency - Communicating with apprentices, ITP’s and employers on EPA and grading We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following: - A recognised Assessor qualification - At least 3 years’ occupational competence within residential childcare / children’s homes - Experience supporting children in care and working within safeguarding frameworks - Strong report-writing skills - Flexibility to travel for face-to-face assessments - Good IT skills - A full, valid driving licence as travel is essential Feeling inspired?
