Job purpose
The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic and consultative partner to leaders across BELAY, providing guidance and support across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee development. This role partners closely with leaders to strengthen team performance, enhance the employee experience, and align people strategies with business objectives.
The HR Business Partner builds trusted relationships with leaders, uses sound judgment to navigate complex people matters, and identifies opportunities to strengthen organizational effectiveness and manager capability.
Essential Functions
As a BELAY Corporate Team member, you will professionally represent the company in all virtual and in-person interactions. You are expected to exemplify our mission, vision, and core values while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
Strategic Partnership & Workforce Planning
- Partner with leaders across BELAY to assess organizational needs and workforce planning priorities
- Support leaders with organizational structure discussions, succession planning, and team effectiveness initiatives
- Provide coaching and consultation on leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and team development
- Identify organizational trends and recommend people-focused solutions
Employee Relations & Manager Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders regarding employee relations matters and performance concerns
- Coach leaders through difficult conversations, feedback discussions, and performance management processes
- Support investigations and employee relations matters in partnership with the Director of HR and HR Generalist
- Assist leaders with conflict resolution and change management initiatives
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Support company-wide performance management initiatives including CFPs, OKRs, and talent planning
- Partner with leaders to develop employee growth and development plans
- Support leadership development initiatives and manager training efforts
- Conduct employee check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Organizational Effectiveness
- Analyze employee feedback and engagement trends to support action planning
- Help drive consistency across employee experience practices
- Support organizational communication and change management efforts
- Collaborate with HR leadership to improve HR programs and employee support processes
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
- Partner with hiring managers and the Corporate Recruiter on staffing needs and hiring strategy
- Support onboarding experiences and leadership transitions
- Participate in workforce planning and staffing discussions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or comparable experience supporting leaders across a broad range of people matters.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
- Working knowledge of employment practices, HR policies, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience with HR technology and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
- Experience with training, leadership development, workforce planning, talent management, recruiting, or people analytics preferred.
