HR Assistant

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a HR Assistant for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa. You will own the HR admin a UK team relies on — accurate employee records, tidy paperwork and onboarding that runs to time.

This suits someone discreet and organised who enjoys people-facing admin and wants to build an HR career with a UK business from home in South Africa.
Key responsibilities

- Maintain employee records and HR files accurately and confidentially

- Prepare contracts, letters and onboarding paperwork

- Coordinate new starter and leaver processes

- Track absence, leave and training records

- Respond to routine employee queries

- Support the HR team with reporting and scheduling

What you'll need

- Experience in an HR administration, recruitment admin or office support role

- Comfortable with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace

- Careful with confidential information and accurate with detail

- Strong written and spoken English

- A reliable fibre connection, a working laptop and a quiet place to work

Nice to have

- Familiarity with an HRIS such as BambooHR, Personio or HiBob

- Exposure to UK employment paperwork

- An HR qualification or part-qualification
