Head of SEO (Freelance/Permanent Contract)
The Role
We are seeking a visionary Freelance Head of SEO to take full ownership of our organic growth strategy. You won't just be executing tasks; you will be the architect of our search engine dominance. Strategic Roadmap: Define and lead the global SEO strategy (Technical, On-page, and Off-page) aligned with our 2026 business goals.
-
Technical Excellence: Conduct deep-dive audits (Core Web Vitals, Crawlability, Indexing) and work closely with developers to ensure a flawless technical foundation.
-
Content Intelligence: Oversee Topical Authority mapping. Move beyond simple keywords to "Search Intent" clusters and EEAT-driven content strategies.
-
AI Integration: Implement AI-assisted workflows for scale (content Briefing, Data analysis, Internal linking) while ensuring "Helpful Content" compliance.
-
Performance Tracking: Manage the SEO budget and provide C-level reporting on Organic ROI, Share of Voice, and Conversion attribution.
-
Leadership: Manage and mentor existing content writers or external agencies to ensure high-quality, SEO-optimized output.
Required Expertise
-
Senior Experience: 6+ years in SEO with a proven track record of scaling high-authority domains (SaaS, E-commerce, or Media).
-
Data Stack: Expert mastery of GSC, Google Analytics 4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, and Search Console Insights.
-
The "Product" Mindset: You treat SEO as a product, not just a marketing channel. You understand how UX and SEO intersect.
-
Business Acumen: You speak the language of "Revenue" and "LTV," not just "Rankings."

-
The "First 30 Days": A brief outline of your audit process when taking over a new domain.
