Non-Instructional Student Support focuses on fostering a high touch approach to educational support and a commitment and desire to provide the best experience possible for students and families including: empowering families to increase their involvement and assist in their student’s education, facilitating engagement in school activities and providing clear and consistent communication regarding school expectations and activities. Bachelor’s degree, 2-4 years related professional experience

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Oklahoma
- This position is remote and strongly prefer candidates that reside in Oklahoma.

The High School Graduation Coach works with counselors and administration to identify and provide interventions and support services to students that are at risk of not graduating on time, and to help ensure that students are college or career ready upon graduation. The role works directly with students during Credit Based Examinations (CBE) and Boot Camps created to help students earn credits and work closely with students and teachers to monitor pass rates while creating pathways for students to find success.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCATIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

- Apply expertise to collect, process and analyze data (academic tracker, age-out, graduation plans, and various demographics as obtained from TVS and TVE, etc.) on a case-by-case basis to identify students who may be at-risk and identify appropriate academic and/or socioemotional supports available; understand how students may qualify for alternative education as evidenced by the at-risk student indicators;

- Identify students that qualify and would benefit from credit recovery coursework or credit-based examinations; monitor progress of credit recovery coursework through completion;

- Create and staff CBE classes and tests for students to get back on track to graduation;

- Communicate high expectations and shows an active interest in student’s achievement, establishes and maintains a positive rapport with families; develop a communication plan for parents and students of students at risk of not graduating and executes through frequent regular communication;

- Build and sustain relationships with students to help students get back on track; Set action steps to help students get on track for graduation

- Work closely with engagement specialists and 9th grade Academy to help low-performing high school students stay on track to graduate;

- Hold sessions with 8th grade students to help transition students into high school;

- Organize and hold in person graduation planning sessions for students and families;
