Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Front End WordPress Developer
Compensation range: $3,0000 AUD - $4,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St , we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: An Australian digital marketing agency specialising in helping service-based businesses strengthen their online presence and generate more customers.
The business takes a strategic, results-focused approach to digital marketing, combining creativity with data and performance insights rather than simply delivering individual marketing tasks. Its work spans website design and development, SEO, Google Ads, social media, paid social, email marketing, and graphic design, giving clients access to a broad digital capability under one team.
Role Overview: We are seeking a Front-End & Full Stack Web Developer to take ownership of websites from sitemap and UX planning through to development, launch, and ongoing maintenance. You’ll work primarily in WordPress, building service-based websites, landing pages, and campaign pages that are polished, responsive, user-friendly, and built to perform.
This is a hands-on role for an autonomous developer with strong front-end and design skills. You’ll collaborate with creative, content, SEO, and marketing teams across the full website lifecycle, from wireframing and development through to QA, launch, troubleshooting, and optimisation. We’re looking for someone whose portfolio demonstrates strong UI/UX, creativity, and thoughtful web design — not just technical WordPress capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain websites primarily in WordPress, working within existing template environments where required.
- Build both single-page landing pages and full multi-page informational/service-based websites.
- Develop high-converting landing pages for performance and marketing campaigns.
- Translate sitemaps, wireframes, UX concepts, and designs into intuitive website structures and user journeys.
- Assist with sitemap development, page architecture, content hierarchy, and website planning.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Build websites using WordPress, Gutenberg, Elementor, and other relevant page builders.
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
- Develop reusable components, sections, and templates where appropriate.
- Implement forms, integrations, tracking, pop-ups, plugins, and other website functionality.
- Work within cPanel and hosting environments, including domains, DNS, SSL, nameservers, and email configuration.
- Manage website migrations, domain changes, DNS updates, hosting setup, and launches as required.
- Conduct thorough website QA and troubleshoot technical issues before and after launch.
- Identify and resolve bugs, broken functionality, layout issues, and performance problems.
- Support ongoing website maintenance, updates, security, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Implement SEO fundamentals throughout the build, including site structure, metadata, headings, internal linking, URLs, and technical considerations.
- Apply an understanding of SEO, AEO, and technical SEO when developing websites.
- Ensure websites are accessible, responsive, performant, and built around strong UX principles.
- Collaborate with designers, content writers, SEO specialists, and account managers.
- Participate in website strategy, planning, and technical discussions.
- Proactively id
