# NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED VIRTUAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT

**U.S. Outpatient Psychiatric Practice | Remote Position**

**Pay:** $6 per hour

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM; first and third Saturdays, 11 AM–4 PM.

**Important:** We are a busy, fast-paced psychiatric practice. We need someone who can keep up with a high volume of tasks, work efficiently, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy without constant supervision.

## Responsibilities

* Submit Spravato and TMS prior authorizations using CoverMyMeds.

* Verify insurance eligibility, active coverage, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.

* Navigate multiple insurance plans and determine network status, referral requirements, and prior authorization criteria.

* Contact insurance companies to clarify coverage, benefits, limitations, and authorization requirements.

* Verify insurance coverage for psychiatric medications, Spravato, and TMS.

* Coordinate psychiatric medication refills and pharmacy requests.

* Prepare disability paperwork, ESA letters, and general patient letters for clinician review.

* Answer calls, respond to patient messages, coordinate care conferences, and promptly escalate urgent psychiatric concerns.

* Maintain organized records, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow HIPAA requirements.

## Required Qualifications

* **Previous employment in a physician's office or psychiatric clinic is mandatory.**

* **Must provide verifiable proof of previous medical office or psychiatric clinic employment and relevant experience.**

* Experience with insurance verification, benefit investigations, and prior authorizations.

* Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and behavioral health benefits.

* Experience with CoverMyMeds, Charm EHR, and RingRx preferred.

* Working knowledge of psychiatric medications and patient documentation.

* Able to keep up with a busy practice, handle a high workload, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.

* Friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoys helping people.

* Remains calm and professional without becoming easily frustrated by challenging situations.

* Demonstrates empathy, patience, accountability, and a positive attitude.

* Excellent communication, computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Dependable, punctual, proactive, trustworthy, and able to work independently.

* Reliable internet and a secure, private workspace.
