Experienced Medical Biller

Responsibilities:

- Bill primary and secondary claims.

- New accounts are scrubbed (all data is verified and confirmed that it is entered correctly)

- All claims are scrubbed to (ensure codes and # units are billed correctly)

- Electronic claims are batched and sent through the clearinghouse

- Rejected claims are checked, corrected and re-billed

- Paper claims are printed, along with any additional documentation and mailed

- Un-billable claims are sent back to FD with notes (regarding what is needed and that once received back, corrected claims are billed)

- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for physical therapy services, including eligibility, copays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements.

- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to obtain and clarify insurance information.

- Ensure all insurance verification information is accurately documented in patient records and billing systems.

Requirements

- Must have solid experience as a Medical Biller

- Knowledgeable in medical coding and experienced with healthcare billing systems

- Must have experience working for US hospitals or Private Doctor Practice

- Knowledgeable about insurance verification

- Ability to speak and write English proficiently

- Happy and Helpful by nature
