Escrow Hazard Insurance Specialist I - Remote
Overview
We are seeking to fill the role of Escrow Hazard Insurance Specialist I. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.
Responsibilities
• Monitor third-party insurance vendor to ensure that all insurance bills are paid promptly, adequate coverage is held on all properties, lender-placed insurance procedures are followed properly, and all investor guidelines are followed• Monitor third-party insurance vendor to ensure insurance bills are paid promptly in accordance with all guidelines• Work with the third-party insurance vendor to ensure adequate coverage is held on all escrowed and non-escrowed properties • Ensure the proper processing of force-placed insurance in the event borrowers fail to provide proof of insurance coverage• In accordance with investor guidelines, monitor coverage amount requirements for both Hazard and Flood insurance• Deposit insurance refunds and research pending items• Request/monitor approvals to pay insurance on loans with disbursement stops• Process customer insurance issues via phone calls or written correspondence• Assist with payment of PMI/MIP payments when needed• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.• 1+ years of experience in mortgage loan servicing/lending (insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or similar role may be acceptable)• Ability to manage time and priorities wisely• Ability to grasp concepts quickly, make sound decisions, and resolve issues• Ability to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines • Ability to collaborate with peers in a team environment to attain common goals • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Compensation Range: $17.88-$26.73 hourly. Actual compensation may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills and experience.
