Fennemore has an exciting opportunity for a Remote Docket Analyst to join our growing firm. Reporting to the Docketing Manager , you’ll play an important role in supporting attorneys and legal professionals across the firm while serving as a key part of Fennemore ’s risk-management efforts. You’ll monitor case activity, calculate and maintain critical deadlines, and help ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirements across the jurisdictions in which the firm practices. Using your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of docketing processes, you’ll provide accurate calendaring, timely notifications, and reliable docket information that helps prevent missed deadlines, filing errors, and compliance issues. Your work will directly support efficient case management, enhance attorney productivity, and help protect the firm from operational, financial, and reputational risk. In this fully remote role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the firm’s operations and contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal services to our clients.
What You’ll Do
As a Docketing Specialist , you will:
- Monitor and analyze court dockets to identify filings, rulings, orders, and case developments affecting clients and attorneys.
- Calculate, calendar, and track critical deadlines using court rules, scheduling orders, and applicable procedural requirements.
- Enter and maintain court dates, deadlines, and case events in the firm’s docketing system.
- Review pleadings, motions, court orders, and other legal documents to identify relevant docketing requirements.
- Research court procedures and filing requirements to support compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare docket reports and communicate critical case information to attorneys and legal teams.
- Perform regular audits and quality control reviews to maintain the accuracy and integrity of docket information.
- Partner with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to support timely filings and effective case management.
- Share relevant court rule and procedural updates with the appropriate teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve docketing processes and departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices to answer questions and support effective communication.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment where collaboration and learning are encouraged.
- Support department projects and other duties as assigned by the Docketing Manager.
