Director, Compliance

The Director of Compliance serves as the leader of the Compliance and Ethics team and subject matter expert developing, overseeing, and monitoring the Company’s Compliance and Ethics program. Sitting within the Legal department and reporting to the General Counsel, the Director also provides strategic and operational support related to compliance and ethics matters across the Company to develop tools, best practices, and resources. The Director manages and develops other Compliance and Ethics team members while acting as a visible role model for company values, ethics, and an inclusive team culture.
The impact you'll have:

Develop and lead the Company's Compliance and Ethics Program , including an annual compliance work plan, enterprise-wide compliance calendar, and Compliance and Ethics Committee, ensuring alignment with the Company's mission, values, and risk profile

Oversee compliance risk assessment and monitoring , implementing a comprehensive risk analysis process, coordinating monitoring programs with university partners, and conducting compliance reviews and cultural surveys across high-risk areas

Manage the Compliance Hotline end-to-end , including intake, triage, referrals, investigations, and resolution of reported concerns, while leveraging data analytics for root cause analysis and trend identification

Lead and oversee compliance investigations into alleged violations of laws, regulations, and Company policies, ensuring they are timely, objective, and well-documented, with consistent protocols and case management standards applied across the enterprise

Ensure corrective actions and remediation plans are developed, implemented, and tracked in response to investigation findings, identifying systemic issues and recommending control enhancements to prevent recurrence

Identify compliance gaps and report findings to the General Counsel and executive leadership, proposing corrective actions and providing strategic and operational compliance support across the Company

Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with leadership at all levels to coordinate risk, compliance, and ethics activities; develop tools, best practices, and streamlined procedures; and facilitate resolution of compliance-related issues

Develop and implement policies and reporting mechanisms that encourage employees to report suspected non-compliance, fostering a culture of transparency and ethical accountability

Develop and deliver compliance training, education, and awareness campaigns to strengthen employee understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and the Compliance and Ethics Program

Monitor the regulatory landscape in education technology and curriculum compliance, continuously building subject-matter expertise, and prepare compliance reports and presentations for leadership, Board members, and investors
