📋 Tasks and responsibilities

You will join a multidisciplinary agile data team made up of data engineers, reporting specialists, data functional analysts, project managers, data architects, data quality experts and AI specialists.

- Facilitate discussions with business subject matter experts to capture data-related needs.

- Map, analyse and understand business processes and operational and analytical data flows, both incoming and outgoing.

- Convert business requirements into functional data requirements and technical specifications.

- Design and validate conceptual and logical data models together with data architects.

- Prepare the functional design of data developments in close collaboration with data governance, BI technical leads and ICT teams.

- Work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR and security compliance.

- Support and coordinate testing of delivered data products.

- Inform and guide business users, and help drive adoption of the delivered solutions.

📝 Your profile

- Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

- At least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.

- Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling, including the Kimball approach.

- Proven experience in data modelling and in analysing and designing data flows.

- At least 3 years of practical experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI.

- Solid SQL skills.

- Previous experience as a data engineer is an asset.

- Experience with Azure Databricks is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

- Professional command of both national languages, French and Dutch, at minimum B2+ level.

- Strong presentation skills.

- Strong conceptual thinking and business understanding.

- High level of data literacy.

- Able to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Autonomous way of working, with ownership and delivery focus.

- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.

- Collaborative mindset, perseverance and flexibility.

- Eager to learn and open-minded.

In this role, you are responsible for gathering business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications, and defining the conceptual and logical data model.
