As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with project teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. Utilizing contemporary development frameworks and agile methodologies, the engineer focuses on delivering scalable and efficient solutions that align with organizational goals. Collaboration and continuous refinement of software components are key aspects of the daily workflow, ensuring that the end product is robust and adaptable to evolving business needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data and analytics solutions using SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and SAP Datasphere.
Work with SAP BDC Data Products, including their consumption and integration into enterprise data scenarios.
Build data acquisition, replication, transformation, modeling, and consumption solutions.
Develop solutions using Replication Flows, Transformation Flows, Data Flows, Remote Tables, and Local Tables.
Build Analytical Models, Fact Models, Dimension Models, Master Data models, and Associations.
Configure and work with Spaces, Connections, data access, and authorization in SAP Datasphere.
Integrate SAP source systems with SAP Datasphere and support data replication and delta scenarios.
Perform data validation, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Participate in requirement discussions, solution design, technical reviews, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
Follow development and modeling best practices and contribute to reusable solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud/ SAP Datasphere.
Good understanding of SAP BDC Data Products.
Knowledge of Spaces, Connections, security, and authorization concepts.
Good SQL and data modeling knowledge.
Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Additional information
Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Analytics, with at least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) / SAP Datasphere.
Ability to independently handle assigned development and technical deliverables.
Experience in end-to-end implementation, integration, modeling, testing, and issue resolution.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
15 years of full-time education required.
