Job Summary
Landis+Gyr is seeking a Cost Analytics Manager with a focus on accuracy and rigor for costing and quoting complex customer solutions. This role is a true data-analytics discipline to cost management and takes ownership of the cost and pricing models that underpin our commercial proposals. This role directly supports our ability to win and retain customers while accelerating quote and contracting cycles.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Cost Analytics & Modeling
- Establish and operate a data-driven methodology for managing and projecting solution cost, replacing predominantly qualitative inputs with quantitative analysis.
- Own, maintain, and refresh cost models on a recurring cadence (at minimum every six months) to reflect new internal and external cost factors.
- Identify, quantify, and increase organizational recognition of the cost drivers that most affect solution profitability.
- Lead ongoing cost-refinement initiatives that improve the precision of product and solution cost projections.
Quoting & Pricing Accuracy
- Improve the accuracy of quoting systems and the cost assumptions that feed customer proposals.
- Partner with sales and commercial teams to develop and approve complex customer proposals, shortening quote and contracting cycles.
- Support consistent, high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs) grounded in reliable cost data.
- Enable the pursuit of multiple complex opportunities concurrently by providing scalable, repeatable cost and pricing analysis.
Commercial Partnership & Governance
- Reduce reliance on technical and delivery resources for commercial cost work by owning that analysis directly.
- Provide cost and margin insight to inform pricing decisions and protect target margins.
- Contribute to the achievement of revenue and margin targets through improved cost discipline

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in cost analysis, pricing, commercial operations, or financial/data analytics.
- Strong quantitative and data-analytics skills, including building and maintaining cost or pricing models.
- Experience supporting complex proposals, quoting, or contracting in a B2B environment.
- Ability to translate cost drivers into clear commercial recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the utility, energy, metering, or technology-solutions sector.
- Familiarity with quoting/CPQ systems and SOW development.
- Proficiency with analytics tooling (e.g. advanced spreadsheet modeling, BI/analytics platforms).
- Prior experience introducing or maturing an analytics methodology within a commercial or finance function.
