The Clinical Sales Specialist – Novocastra is responsible for driving commercial growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening customer partnerships across the assigned territory. This role will focus on building a strong sales funnel, increasing market share, and leading strategic engagements with key accounts and stakeholders.
This position reports to the Strategic Growth Manager, India and is part of the Sales/Commercial organization located in Kolkata and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Own and achieve assigned Novocastra sales targets and business objectives by developing and executing territory growth plans, identifying and converting sales opportunities, and increasing market penetration and revenue.
- Build and maintain a robust sales funnel, ensure accurate opportunity tracking through CRM systems, and conduct competitive analysis and market-intelligence activities to identify growth opportunities and support strategic business decisions.
- Provide technical expertise, application support, troubleshooting, product optimization, and customer training related to Novocastra antibodies and Leica Biosystems consumables across the IVD and RUO portfolios during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
- Lead Proof of Principle activities, including product evaluations, sampling programs, demonstrations, and customer validations, in collaboration with regional sales teams and channel partners.
- Build trusted relationships with pathologists, laboratory managers, researchers, procurement teams, and key opinion leaders; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, channel partners, and regional and global application teams to conduct workshops, scientific meetings, seminars, exhibitions, demonstrations, and customer-education programs; and submit monthly activity and business-outcome reports.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pathology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, Pathology Applications, Clinical Diagnostics, Diagnostic Sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pathology workflows, antibody-based assays, immunohistochemistry, and related diagnostic applications.
- Experience providing customer-facing technical or application support, including troubleshooting, product demonstrations, customer training, or scientific consultation.
