Job Description: Car Service Dispatcher / Operations Support

Location: Remote Industry: Transportation / Private Car Service Employment Type: Remote Support Role Position Overview EZ Car Service is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Car Service Dispatcher / Administrative Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy local car service business based in Brooklyn, New York. This is not a basic virtual assistant position. The right candidate must have a strong understanding of logistics, dispatching, scheduling, communication, and problem-solving. They will be responsible for helping coordinate rides, communicate with drivers and customers, monitor ongoing operations, and ensure that transportation services run smoothly and efficiently. Because this role involves constant communication and real-time decision-making, we are looking for someone with excellent, natural English communication skills, a strong head for logistics, and the ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Dispatching & Logistics Coordinate and dispatch drivers for scheduled and incoming transportation requests. Monitor active trips and ensure drivers and passengers are properly coordinated. Assist with assigning the appropriate drivers and vehicles based on location, availability, and scheduling needs. Understand and navigate maps, routes, locations, and local transportation logistics. Help identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or transportation issues as they arise. Monitor ongoing operations and make quick decisions when adjustments are necessary. Customer & Driver Communication Communicate professionally with customers regarding transportation needs, scheduling, and updates. Answer and manage incoming phone calls and service requests. Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, pickups, changes, and operational updates. Provide clear and professional information while maintaining a high level of customer service. Handle questions and basic issues efficiently while escalating more complex situations when necessary. Administrative Support Enter, update, and maintain trip and customer information accurately. Assist with scheduling and managing reservations. Maintain organized records and operational information. Support the owner and team with general administrative and coordination tasks as needed. Help ensure that important information is communicated clearly between customers, drivers, and management. Operational Problem-Solving React quickly to cancellations, delays, scheduling conflicts, and other unexpected issues. Think ahead and anticipate potential logistical problems before they become larger issues. Maintain composure during busy periods and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities rather than waiting for constant direction. Required

Qualifications Previous experience in dispatching, transportation logistics, scheduling, or a similar operational role is strongly preferred.

Experience working with a car service, taxi service, limousine company, transportation company, delivery operation, or logistics organization is a significant advantage. Strong understanding of maps, routing, locations, and dispatch logistics. Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to communicate naturally and clearly. Comfortable handling phone-based communication with customers and team members. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in real time. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling schedules and trip information. Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace.
