As a Business Systems Analyst with IQVIA, you’ll support one or more product owners across a portfolio of technical platforms used by internal teams and external clients. This individual contributor role is focused on helping translate user needs into clear requirements, supporting development planning, validating what is built, and ensuring business users remain aligned through the full product delivery lifecycle. You’ll be tasked to:

- Partner with the product owner to capture user needs, meeting notes, enhancement requests, issues, and desired functionality across assigned platform(s).

- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable system requirements, user stories, or development backlog items.

- Evaluate development plans and work-in-progress with product owners and development teams to help confirm that planned functionality aligns with business expectations.

- Validate developed functionality, document findings, and help ensure requirements are met before solutions are released to users.

- Coordinate with product owners, business users, and technical teams to support full-cycle delivery from idea intake through development, testing, user validation, and deployment.

- Maintain requirements, development items, user requests, defects, and issue tracking in tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.

- Contribute to a primary platform or product owner, with the flexibility to assist across other platforms as capacity and business priorities require.

Candidates interested in joining IQVIA as a Business Systems Analyst should have:

- Foundational experience in business analysis, product development, product operations, or a related role supporting software or technology platforms

- Apply technical tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Power BI to support data analysis

- Gather, clarify, and document requirements in partnership with product owners, business users, and technical teams

- Familiarity with Agile delivery concepts, Scrum ceremonies, JIRA, and backlog or issue management processes preferred

- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documenting requirements and testing functionality

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize discussions, document decisions, and communicate status or risks clearly

- Manage assigned priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional colleagues while escalating questions or blockers appropriately

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining IQVIA as a Business Systems Analyst should have:

- Strong academic track record including Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, and typically two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience

- Exposure to product management, product development, systems analysis, or software delivery lifecycle concepts preferred

- Bring general comfort working with technical teams, business applications, and data or reporting concepts; development or coding experience is not required

- Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral); additional languages an advantage

- Demonstrate willingness to learn the pharmaceutical or life sciences business domain; prior domain knowledge is helpful but not required

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional or distributed teams
