We are seeking an articulate and experienced Front Desk Medical Virtual Assistant to support our client's Primary Care practice across multiple clinic locations. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) in a U.S. healthcare setting and is highly capable in managing patient scheduling, conducting insurance verifications, and applying basic CPT knowledge with clear enunciation for an older Medicare patient population.
Key Responsibilities:

-
Patient Call Management: Manage inbound and outbound patient calls efficiently via Intermedia Unite / UNITE VoIP with patience, warmth, and high voice clarity.

-
Scheduling & Intake: Handle appointment scheduling, cancellations, and appointment coordination directly within eClinicalWorks (eCW) , actively encouraging walk-in patients to schedule in advance.

-
Pre-Registration & Verification: Assist with patient pre-registration and perform thorough Verification of Benefits (VOB) prior to visits for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial plans.

-
Multi-Location Support: Support multiple clinic locations while maintaining excellent patient communication, answering inquiries, and handling follow-ups.

-
Clinical Administrative Support: Leverage clinical familiarity (including standard primary care CPT codes and visit types) to ensure accurate scheduling and intake routing. No medical billing duties required.

-
Clinic Coverage: Provide reliable, uninterrupted coverage during all operating hours of the practice.

Requirements

EMR Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of mandatory hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) in an active U.S. clinical environment.

Healthcare VA Background: At least 2–3 years of experience working remotely as a Medical Virtual Assistant for a U.S. outpatient clinic.

Clinical Knowledge: Practical familiarity with primary care procedures, standard CPT codes, and verification of benefits workflows.

VoIP Software: Experience using cloud VoIP platforms (familiarity with Intermedia Unite / UNITE VoIP is preferred).

Schedule Commitment: Full commitment to work all hours that the clinic is open without schedule conflicts, flexibility to work on weekends. 40 hours per week.

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a starting pay rate of $6 per hour, depending on skill set and experience. The schedule is not set yet; the client needs the medical assistant to work all hours the clinic is open! Must be flexible to work on weekends.
