We are seeking an experienced Auto Claims Adjuster II – Total Loss to guide policyholders through the total loss claims process with expertise, empathy, and exceptional service.

In this role, you'll independently manage a portfolio of total loss claims, applying advanced claims knowledge to investigate coverage and liability, evaluate vehicle values, negotiate settlements, and deliver timely claim resolutions. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment while providing a seamless, customer-focused claims experience.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Investigation & Evaluation

- Verify coverage and investigate liability, damages, and claim circumstances for assigned total loss claims.

- Investigate complex losses, including multi-vehicle accidents , and determine appropriate claim handling strategies.

- Evaluate claims to determine settlement value while adhering to company best claim practices and regulatory requirements.

- Apply state-specific regulations and company guidelines to ensure accurate and compliant claims handling.

Total Loss Claims Management

- Independently manage a dedicated inventory of total loss claims from initial assignment through final settlement.

- Coordinate all aspects of the total loss process, ensuring timely evaluation, settlement, and claim closure.

- Negotiate fair claim settlements while balancing customer satisfaction and sound business practices.

- Maintain ownership of the customer experience throughout the total loss process, ensuring transparency and responsiveness.

Customer Service & Communication

- Provide proactive, timely communication to customers, claimants, lienholders, agents, and other involved parties.

- Deliver an extraordinary customer experience by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and effective conflict resolution.

- Explain coverage, settlement decisions, and claims processes clearly and confidently.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

- Partner with internal claims teams, vendors, and business partners to facilitate efficient claim resolution.

- Demonstrate leadership through collaboration, sound decision-making, and knowledge sharing.

- Maintain accurate claim documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.

- Continuously expand technical claims knowledge and remain current on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Experience
Required

-
2+ years of prior claims handling experience , preferably in auto claims.

- Ability to independently manage a claims inventory while making sound claims decisions.

- Strong understanding of insurance coverage, liability investigations, and claim settlement practices.

- Ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses .

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

- Experience handling total loss auto claims .

- Experience investigating multi-vehicle accidents and complex claims.

- Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills.

- Strong customer service background with a commitment to delivering exceptional claim experiences.
