Our Vice President (VP), Global Quality Assurance provides strategic leadership and oversight of quality assurance programs across Sarah Cannon Research Institute and McKesson. Our VP is responsible for developing and executing quality strategies that ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in research and oncology care. This position does require travel.

This is a remote position based in the US; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.
Key responsibilities include:

Develop and implement enterprise-wide quality assurance strategies and programs.

Ensure compliance with GCP, GxP, FDA, HIPAA, accreditation standards, and other applicable regulations.

Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives and drive quality performance outcomes.

Oversee internal and external audits, findings management, corrective actions, and quality reporting.

Monitor quality metrics, identify risks and deficiencies, and provide recommendations to executive leadership.

Maintain and enhance quality policies, procedures, and standard operating processes.

Advise research and operational teams on regulatory compliance and quality best practices.

Partner with training and education teams to support compliance and continuous learning initiatives.

Establish departmental goals, manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee workforce planning.

Lead, mentor, and develop quality teams while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence.

Build strong relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across Sarah Cannon Research Institute, our partners, and McKesson.

This position matters because it is ultimately responsible for protecting patient safety, research integrity, regulatory compliance, and organizational reputation across Sarah Cannon Research Institute's oncology research operations.

In practical terms, the VP of Global Quality:

Ensures patient safety and ethical research practices by maintaining compliance with GCP, FDA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.

Reduces organizational risk by identifying quality issues early, leading audits, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Protects research credibility by ensuring clinical trials are conducted consistently, accurately, and according to protocol.

Drives operational excellence through quality metrics, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Supports business growth by building scalable quality systems that enable the expansion of research programs, clinical trials, and oncology services.

Maintains regulatory readiness for inspections, accreditation reviews, and sponsor audits, helping avoid findings that could delay studies or impact funding.

Provides executive-level insight into quality trends, risks, and performance, enabling leadership to make informed strategic decisions.
