The Role

We’re hiring Associate Forward Deployed Engineers to support data ingestion and customer data operations.

You’ll work alongside FDEs to execute scoped technical workflows: preparing and transferring data, monitoring ingestion jobs, validating results, communicating status, and escalating issues.

This is a junior, hourly role for engineers who are technical, reliable, and comfortable operating with clear processes and guidance.
What You’ll Do

- Size, prepare, and transfer customer datasets.

- Execute and monitor data ingestion workflows.

- Validate transfer results and identify discrepancies.

- Communicate status, blockers, and follow-ups with customers and internal teams.

- Maintain clear handoffs and operational documentation.

- Identify gaps or unexpected behavior and escalate when needed.

- Handle sensitive customer data with care.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong ownership and attention to detail.

- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new tools quickly.

- Familiarity with Python, SQL, APIs, or data workflows.

- Clear, concise written communication.

- Ability to follow runbooks and recognize when something falls outside them.

- Good judgment around customer data and production systems.

- Reliability and availability for scoped, hourly work.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with large datasets or data pipelines.

- Familiarity with cloud storage and data transfer workflows.

- Experience with command-line tools, Git, or Linux environments.

- Exposure to ETL, data ingestion, validation, or QA workflows.

- Experience debugging technical issues using logs and monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with common data formats such as JSON, CSV, or Parquet.

- Experience in a startup, technical operations, implementation, or customer-facing engineering environment.
