3D CAD Industrial Designer

The Role

You will create detailed 3D CAD models with organic shapes and complex surfaces, and turn product ideas into production-ready files. This is a part-time, remote role, paid hourly.
What You Will Do

- Design and model new products from first concept to manufacturing-ready CAD

- Build organic shapes, complex surfaces, textures and ergonomic geometry

- Create fully editable parametric models with clean design history

- Prepare production-ready STEP files with accurate solid and surface geometry

- Design with laser cutting, CNC milling and machining in mind

Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience in 3D CAD and industrial product design

- Strong parametric CAD skills (feature-based design, assemblies, editable solids and surfaces)

- Advanced surface and organic modeling

- Practical knowledge of design for manufacturing, especially laser cutting and CNC

- Experience taking consumer products from concept to production

- Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to Have

- Experience designing hand tools or metal consumer products

- SolidWorks and/or CATIA

- Prototyping, material selection and production optimization
