Testing Analyst

Job Location: 100% remote in Romania Recruitment process: - HR Screening - Technical interview Role description: Plans and executes manual and automated testing across APIs, mobile apps, and web frontends for a banking platform, and reports on quality and defects. Responsibilities - Design, document, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API-based systems - Plan test strategy, scope, and estimates for features and releases - Test REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and middleware integrations - Build and maintain automated regression test suites - Track defects through resolution and prepare test summary reports and quality metrics - Apply risk-based testing to prioritize coverage Required - 5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing, including test planning, strategy, estimation, and defect management - Experience designing and executing test cases using tools like Zephyr Scale or TestRail - Strong API testing skills (REST/SOAP) with tools such as Postman or Bruno, including testing microservices/middleware - Experience testing mobile apps (Android & iOS) and web frontends (Angular) - Working knowledge of Java or JavaScript for test automation, with experience maintaining automated regression suites - Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and log/monitoring tools (Kibana/ELK) Preferred - Automation tooling experience with Appium and/or Selenium - Experience with banking software or the banking domain - Agile Scrum experience - Good command of English - Comfortable using AI tools for analysis, documentation, and process improvement Originally posted on Himalayas
