Role overview:
Design, execute and maintain tests that demonstrate ESCS software, integrations, infrastructure and services meet their functional and non-functional requirements. The Testing Engineer works closely with analysts, developers, suppliers and users to produce clear, repeatable evidence.
The role you will play:
- Convert requirements and designs into effective test conditions, cases and evidence.
- Find defects early through a balanced use of manual, exploratory and automated testing.
- Support objective decisions on quality and release readiness.
Primary responsibilities:
- Review requirements and designs and derive test conditions, cases, scripts, data and environment needs.
- Execute functional, integration, regression and relevant non-functional tests.
- Develop and maintain automated API, service or user-interface tests where appropriate.
- Record reproducible defects, evidence, severity and business impact.
- Support defect triage, root-cause investigation and retesting.
- Maintain requirements-to-test traceability and clear test reports.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.
- Work with suppliers and other teams to validate interfaces and end-to-end processes.

- CI/CD testing awareness
- Performance and security testing awareness
- Clear technical documentation and communication
Required experience:
- Experience testing IT applications, services or integrated solutions.
- Experience creating test cases from requirements and design documents.
- Experience using test and defect management tooling.
- Ability to plan and manage assigned test activities with limited supervision.
Desired experience:
- Cloud or SaaS platform testing.
- TestRail, Jira, Robot Framework, Python, Postman or equivalent.
- Automated tests within delivery pipelines.
- ISTQB Foundation or equivalent.
Clearance requirements:
- SC required to start
- SC required for the role
