Telehealth Medical Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for an organized, empathetic, and professional Telehealth Medical Assistant to join our full-time, remote administrative team. As the vital first point of digital contact, you will play a critical role in managing virtual clinic flow, coordinating referrals via our secure systems, and delivering an exceptional experience for patients entering our care network.

Key Responsibilities
- Digital Onboarding & Intake: Guide patients through the digital registration process, collect demographic information, and coordinate initial virtual medical histories.
- Referral & Insurance Management: Process incoming digital insurance data, securely verify coverage benefits, and manage medical referrals from external providers.
- Telehealth Workflow Optimization: Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to schedule virtual appointments efficiently and optimize day-to-day patient data flow.
- Remote Communication: Serve as a secure bridge between prospective patients, referring physicians, and our internal clinical staff to resolve digital scheduling or virtual intake inquiries.

Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience in medical coordination, virtual medical assisting, medical billing, or digital intake administration.
- High proficiency and familiarity with professional EMR systems and online medical insurance verification workflows.
- Strong multitasking, digital file organization, and telephone/video communication skills.
- Must have a dedicated, private, and quiet workspace that complies with HIPAA privacy regulations.

Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
- Job Type: Full-Time, Remote
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
