Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack
About the Role
A well-funded, Series A/Bβand-beyond AI fintech platform β now at Series D β is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack to help shape a cutting-edge AI product built on large language models (LLMs). Sitting within a 51β200 person Engineering team in New York City (on-site) , you'll own major features across the stack, partner closely with Product and Customer Success, and push the boundaries of what AI-powered tooling can do for the financial services industry.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for an engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and cares deeply about craft, scalability, and user experience.

What You'll Do

Shape product direction and own technical design for AI-powered features across the full stack.

Deliver major product features end-to-end, from design through production launch.

Build and maintain feedback loops with end users and the Customer Success team to continuously improve the product.

Architect scalable systems and implement robust, performant software components.

Ensure platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence for production services.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and domain experts to solve complex, ambiguous problems.

Iterate on UI/UX and product design to deliver experiences that delight users.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:

5+ years of industry experience in full-stack software engineering, delivering production-grade web applications.

Extensive experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development.

Proven experience deploying production applications with Python , Next.js , NestJS , Docker , AWS , and Tailwind CSS .

Hands-on experience adopting the latest framework features in production (e.g., React Server Components, streaming).

Experience collaborating with product, design, and domain experts to architect scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Strong CS fundamentals, self-motivated owner mindset, and exceptional attention to detail.

Genuine enthusiasm for AI/LLM tooling and a demonstrated passion for early-stage or hyper-growth companies.
