Sr Human Resources Associate, Shared Service Centre ( 9 month fixed term contract)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Human Resources Associate, Shared Service Centre (9 month fixed term contract) based in India.
This role supports global HR operations within a fast-paced, international Shared Service Centre environment. You’ll help manage critical employee lifecycle processes while coordinating HR, payroll, benefits, and local service providers across multiple regions. The position combines operational execution, employee and client support, data accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and professionals across different countries and time zones. Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail will be essential to maintaining reliable service delivery. The role also offers the opportunity to incorporate generative AI and modern digital tools into everyday HR workflows.
Accountabilities:
- Support key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee data management, visa renewals, transfers, and offboarding.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation such as employment contracts, contract amendments, HR policies, benefits and payroll enrollment documents, onboarding guides, employment certificates, and termination documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee and customer records within the HR platform, including new hires, status changes, benefits, and terminations.
- Administer employee benefits in collaboration with brokers, insurers, and other relevant providers.
- Provide accurate payroll data, including time and expense information, while coordinating closely with payroll teams and local payroll providers.
- Conduct audits and data checks to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Communicate with employees and customers by email and other channels to explain processes, respond to questions, and resolve HR-related concerns.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and customers during onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Coordinate with insurance vendors, local service providers, payroll providers, pension providers, and other partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, policies, and HR processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure established service-level agreements and operating procedures are consistently followed.
- Collaborate with international internal teams and stakeholders to maintain effective HR service delivery across regions.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in HR operations, with Shared Service Centre experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR procedures, policies, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Hands-on experience managing onboarding processes across the Americas region; experience supporting Canada, Mexico, the United States, or Brazil is a strong advantage.
- Experience working within a Shared Services environment and coordinating with multiple stakeholders and service providers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly across different communication settings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence working with HR systems and digital tools.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with a test-and-learn mindset in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated AI literacy and the ability to incorporate generative AI tools such as Gemini or NotebookLM into daily workflows to improve efficiency and output quality.
- Strong problem-solving and resourcefulness, with the ability to identify issues and drive effective resolutions.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Comfortable working with international teams across different locations, cultures, and backgrounds.
- Flexibility to accommodate different time zones based on employee and customer requirements.
- Experience handling employee offboarding processes is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to work a night shift and start immediately is preferred for this 9-month fixed-term contract.
