Job Summary
The Senior Documentation Specialist is responsible for authoring and ensuring the integrity of clear, accurate content for staff. They represent the team by leading content creation and overseeing the knowledge management for projects of varying sizes. This role includes editing documentation for accuracy and formatting, ensuring adherence to established styles and standards, and sharing insights to enhance documentation practices. Additionally, the Senior Documentation Specialist facilitates meetings, collaborates with partner departments and provides leadership and oversight for individual communities within our knowledge management system. Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five) :

Performs all core responsibilities of the Documentation Specialist role with limited oversight.

Reviews and edits documentation from colleagues,ensuring adherence to the styles andstandards, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.

Leads team and partner department meetings, sharing insights and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Oversees the end-to-end management of individualcommunities within the knowledge management system.

-
Proactively identifies and addresses gaps, consults on improvement options, and aligns priorities with the department’s strategic vision.

Leads projects by developing and executing workplans, identifying blockers, and proposing solutions to ensure all deadlines are met.

Manages team reporting responsibilities as assigned and provides support to management and team members as needed.

Consults on and resolves complex knowledge management system-related issues, investigating root causes and providing effective solutions.

Edits documentation of specialists through the knowledge management system.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job.

Education, Certification and Licensure

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in English, communications or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience (minimum years required) :

-
Required:3-5years of experience with a strong focus on technical writing and documentation management. Experience in editing, formatting and ensuring compliance with established style guides and quality standards is essential. Experience within the health care industry is a plus.
