This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Commercial Account Executive - Health Plan based in United States.

This is a senior enterprise sales role focused on driving new-logo growth across the U.S. health plan market.
You will lead complex, high-value opportunities involving executive, clinical, actuarial, and technology stakeholders.
The role combines deep payer-market expertise with consultative selling, strategic account development, and enterprise deal leadership.
You will help shape segment strategy, competitive positioning, and go-to-market priorities beyond your individual pipeline.
As a trusted advisor to senior health plan leaders, you will connect data, analytics, and technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.
The position offers a remote-first environment with significant autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and up to 30% travel.
You will also contribute as a market expert and mentor, helping elevate enterprise sales capabilities across the broader organization.

Accountabilities:
- Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth across health plans by identifying, developing, and closing complex, high-value enterprise opportunities aligned with strategic priorities and the solution portfolio.

- Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and close, while navigating complex buying groups and extended sales processes.

- Develop targeted go-to-market strategies for health plan prospects using industry expertise, data, relationships, and market intelligence to create new opportunities and expand market presence.

- Partner with sales leadership to contribute to health plan segment strategy, including ideal client profiles, segment priorities, differentiated value propositions, and execution approaches.

- Serve as a subject matter expert on health plan buyer dynamics, providing insights that influence go-to-market strategy, product positioning, packaging, competitive messaging, and roadmap discussions.

- Build and maintain a strong network of health plan executives, industry analysts, conference communities, and other market influencers to generate intelligence and business development opportunities.

- Establish trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, engaging multiple decision-makers and influencers throughout complex enterprise buying processes.

- Collaborate with marketing, solution consulting, delivery, legal, and executive leadership to develop compelling value propositions, structure multi-solution opportunities, and ensure effective transition from acquisition to client success.

- Bring competitive and market insights back to internal teams to strengthen positioning, packaging, solution development, and broader health plan market strategy.

- Mentor and informally guide less experienced sellers on enterprise deal strategy, health plan market dynamics, executive engagement, and consultative selling best practices.

- Monitor emerging health plan trends, regulatory developments, competitive movements, and market needs to inform proactive sales strategies and customer engagement.

- Own a significant portion of the health plan segment's new-logo bookings target and consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance objectives.

- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate sales forecasting while managing complex deal structures and long-term strategic opportunities.

Requirements

- 12+ years of progressive B2B enterprise sales or business development experience, with deep specialization in health plan or payer environments.

- Proven hunter mentality and a strong track record of achieving or exceeding new-logo sales targets in complex, consultative, enterprise-scale sales environments.

- Recognized expertise in the health plan market, including payer buyer dynamics, competitive landscapes, regulatory trends, and the business value of data and analytics solutions.

- Demonstrated ability to navigate sophisticated, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving C-suite, clinical, actuarial, technology, and other senior decision-makers.

- Experience structuring and leading large, multi-solution opportunities designed to create long-term strategic partnerships rather than transactional relationships.

- Track record of contributing market intelligence and strategic insights that influence go-to-market strategy, product positioning, competitive messaging, or broader business direction.

- Exceptional prospecting, negotiation, presentation, storytelling, and closing skills, with the ability to coordinate resources across multiple internal functions.

- Ability to develop compelling business cases, ROI analyses, and future-state visions that resonate with senior health plan executives and connect solutions to measurable outcomes.

- Strong executive presence and consultative communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

- Experience mentoring or informally guiding other sellers on complex deal strategy, market navigation, executive engagement, and enterprise selling.

- Strong commercial and business acumen, including experience with pipeline development, sales forecasting, quota management, and complex deal structures.

- Established industry network capable of generating market intelligence, executive relationships, and qualified business development opportunities.

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required.
